Allies and You

It is just plain sad the kind of trouble i've had lately. Near whiteclaw, if i'm grey, or even if i'm not, i've been attacked by countless allies.

I've been ganked atleast once and looted by an ally.

Now that i move down to the BKB town, i die a couple times at skeletons. I get disconnected alot, as can be seen on the DF forums. So i run back and ask nicely if anyone has looted me. I find my body, it has some stuff, but the money, reagents, and bone armor are gone. No guildless people in the area, no enemies. Just allies fighting skeletons.

It happens again. I come back, and my tombstone isn't even there, someone took everything this time. I ask multiple times in public and clan alliance chat who took my stuff. nothing.

Oh, and we can't forget. All this is after i looted another ally's body. Why? There was guildless guys running around. I didn't want them getting an allies loot. So i looted him, and gave him his stuff when he got back, to be a nice guy.

This is a huge problem, and i've seen multiple fights in clan alliance chat about this.

Either:

Be more selective about the ninjas people recruit into the guilds.

and/or make 100% sure people check who there freaking allied clans are.

Checking your allies/enemies takes maybe 5 minutes. That will save you 5+ minutes of people fighting and complaining about you killing the wrong guy. It's not that hard to target someone and see if they are friendly. I got an ally who attacked me the other day for like 5 minutes.

Do you know what he told me? "lulz sorry dude i didn't look at your name/tag sry"

There are other ways to solve this as well. I'm personally aware of your situation cause i was next to you during the latest incidient you are referring to.

I know i looted a couple BKB guys tombstones and gave their stuff back. I know there were some Free Corps and other Dog Company guys in the area as well.

I can't personally speak on behalf of everyone there, but i asked around about your stuff. I know there was 1 clanless guy at the time in the area and there are usually a few more who watch specifically for people to die and run to grab their stuff.

Yes, people need to remember 'names' on corpses they looted recently. With that said, the BEST course of action for people in your circumstance is to remember names in the area. Remember 'names' of anyone in the alliance who attacked you. Then on voice let an officer of your clan know.

Most clans have OIC's on the allied TeamSpeak server. It is much easier and faster to track gear down by going through an officer who can communicate the issue pretty quick in voice then to type in chat and HOPE the guy who has your stuff is reading it.

Granted, the guy who has your stuff should be watching chat, but he may not know your last name. Most things can be controlled if you can just get names. I know i've personally kicked 3 people out of Dog Company for attacking allies. But if you don't know who atatcks you, then not much can be done.

Yeah, it's something that happens quite a bit. I've been in situations where I've been killed while in the same Voice channel as the person who was attacking me telling them to stop. Reason was, I was not in their in game group, we were attacking an enemy city, and I did not have a group tag floating above my head.

I've had all my stuff looted multiple times by people when I'm at Skellies. People dont check grave makers. The lack of a last name or tag has issues with that sometimes as well. But it's not hard to take a quick note of the persons name, try to remember what they had (try to keep the stuff seperate if ya can) and make an effort to return stuff.

In major battles, If I'm lucky enough to find a grave after the battle, I'll make note of the persons name. I've returned (those who wanted it back) about 3 sets of gear from combat already. Not everyone has that same attitude towards gear and allies. I've seen people actually say over alliance chat, "If i loot an allies shit off of a grave from combat and no one notices, = mine." And that's how alot of people think.

We do need to address this problem. I'll get with my guys and talk to them about it.

With things getting kinda crazy with the incoming/outgoing allies it's hard for even me to keep track of all that's going on. (I have a theory that the price of gas (petrol) is directly effected by the number of members in the SA day to day)

IFF is not that hard. Only possible exception is during sieges, cause I am never able to get a lock on anyone when I'm slide showing. So I just shoot at the Dorf/Elf/Human. And now that's going to start becoming a huge issue.
